Hello, My Athom LED addressable strip controller Model LS-4P is not broadcasting wifi signal of itself. The first time I bought that device I put my SSID router and my password but this could not connect to my router but it was broadcasting wifi signal with not connected internet to my laptop and android cell phone for what I could do some led settings and colors in the software of the controller with the WS2811 C9 pixel string lights and both of them (the controller and the string lights) were working perfectly
I have rebooted several times this wled controller and also reseating my router trying to connect the controller to my LAN router even changing some wifi settings in the controller and in the router following advises from this forum and others but it couldn't be connected to the router.
I've observed that when I was resetting the wled controller, the name of the controller wifi changed in my laptop and cell phone from WLED-D48B to WLED-0000 and then WLED-000 2 and sometimes WLED-0000 connected to the internet but then disappeared.
And today when I tried to fix this problem between my router and the controller with the xfinity technician, the wifi signal of the controller did not appear and it seems it wont appear forever.
I want to add that in the day when the wifi access point of my controller shut down, the GND, DAT and VCC wires of my controller were loose and I had some issues turning on the string lights but then the string lights turned on.
Do you think that I screw the wled controller access point wifi up for resetting or rebooting a lot of times and for trying to adjust the loose wires in the GND, DAT and VCC while my wled controller was plugged in my 12 V power supply and in my string lights.?
Do you think that I need to buy another new Athom controller model LS-4P addressed led strip light controller?. I'm thinking to buy the Dig UNO LED Controller. ESP32
For now I can use only the addressable wled controller with the C9 pixel string lights pressing only the attached bottom for changing only the solid lights (without using my router and the controller wifi access point).
I'm having this same issue with all of the LB01-15W-WLED-1 bulbs that I ordered and recently received. I'm pretty sure there is a problem with the .bin firmware compile from Athom, but it could be a hardware issue I suppose. I just find that hard to believe with all 3 of the bulbs I am experiencing this with (I received 4 with 1 apparently DOA). Athom seems to add some additional code to the firmware (on the bulbs for sure at the very least) to accommodate for the on-off-on-off-on-off-on procedure to factory default the device. Can you share what firmware your LSP4 is running and if this is the firmware it was running out of the box? Here's what I'm seeming from the devices I got: LB01-15W-WLED-1 - WLED 0.13.1 (build 2203150) - problem firmware / device
WLED ESP32 Music Addressable LED Strip Controller - WLED 0.13.2 (build 22102011) - WLED SR version 0.13.2 - seems okay
LS4P-WLED - WLED 0.13.0-b6 (build 2112080) - WLED 0.13.0-b6 (build 2112080) - seems okay
Hope we can work together with Athom to get these issues sorted quickly. I plan to also make a separate post documenting these issues...
