I've bricked an AU v2 smartplug - model PGO5V2-AU16A. Am trying to re-flash via serial, and I've managed to open the casing only to find that the TX and RX pins on the ESP board are not directly accessible. The solder pads for the ESP are between the main board and the molded plug, and the main board can't be removed.
There are GND and 3.3V pads accessible on the top of the main board, and some other pads which are not as clearly labelled. Can anyone tell me if any of the exposed pads are TX/RX?
Well, I succeeded in re-flashing my plug, bur not without a little collateral damage. The molding around the AU plug is pretty tight, and a hammer to the 240V pins was a bit harsh. But it got the main board away from the housing, and I could solder a USB serial adapter to the pins. A bit rough, but it worked, and I'm happy enough that I didn't have to throw a plug in the bin.
