[RESOLVED] GU10 unresponsive after ESPHome -> Tasmota lite upgrade

    in General Discussions

    Hello,

I purchased ESPHome GU10 bulbs but wanted to switch to WLED to use ArtNet. I've read going to Tasmota lite ESP02 and then flashing to WLED would work but I have now the bulb stuck in blue and no wifi signal from it. I have tried to switch it on and off 5 times but no luck. For my ikea GU 10 I like Is there any video to help respecting the pace for the reset? Ikea has done one and it's useful:

    1. How to properly migrate from ESPHome to WLED on the Athom GU10 bulbs? 2. How can I bring back to life my bricked bulb? Thank you.

    2. As it is a Tamosta-lite install I had to use the Tasmota reset method. Turning off 30s and then turning on and off 6 times for less than 10s and leaving the GU10 on the 7th time worked. Hourray! Source: https://tasmota.github.io/docs/Device-Recovery/#recovery-techniques

And then I could flash the WLED firmware on it following:

    UPDATE : ANSWER FROM ATHOM

    • First execute "SetOption78 1" in the console of Tasmota

    • Select firmware upgrade, upload tasmota-minimal.bin and click start upgrade

    • Select the firmware upgrade again, upload the firmware of WLED and click to start upgrade
